Linda,
I'm sure you were just as good as Julie Andrews, maybe better!
So many great vacations you've had, you lucky girl.

The liquid vitamin supplement is called Vibe.

The company that makes it is the Eniva Corp. Vibe is not cheap! I spend $125 a month on it, but what's a thumb worth these days? Not to mention getting a good night's sleep.  And I still take 2 oz. every day.

It's one of those companies where you'll find a local distributor and sign up. They'll mail you the product every month.  It doesn't cvost anything to sign up, but they'll want you to become a distributor. I opted not to do that, and it's fine.  I am not telling anybody about this as a way to develop a business. I am telling you because it works for me. So go investigate  Vibe for yourself, or find another liquid vitamin. The formula itself is important, but the body absorbs liquid better than it breaks down pills.  Vibe's formula is outstanding, quite concentrated, and it tastes fine after you put it in water.

Good luck!

Will this work Phyllis  {-:

What you described of the sales people for Vibe. I think I will check the people like GNC.

Thanks Phyllis,

Phyllis and Louis,

Back to the thumb issue.  I apparently need a little sympathy, as I have to tell you I've had surgery on my left thumb twice.  Once from a skiing accident (pole) back in '80.  We were skiing in Tahoe and it was so cold I didn't really know it had been injured that bad until I blew the ACL in my left knee later that day.  They carried me off the Mt. and while in the ER I asked if they would mind checking my thumb too, as it hurt once it thawed.  Tore some cartilege.

Then after our son's wedding in 2000 in Beaver Creek, CO (August),  we rode the ski chairs to the top of the Mt. for what I thought was a 'leisurely' ride down the Mt.  Nope, fell, messed up the same thumb again.  I now have a plate and 4 screws in it but it works and feels fine.
Thanks for listening.  I feel so much better.

Diane

Vibe and vodka? Good question. I know they say not to mix it with grapefruit juice or milk, but maybe vodka would be ok.  HaHa! Might as well make yourself a fine alcoholic drink and get nourished at the same time.

Diane, I am sorry to hear about your thumb. I know I took both of mine for granted until I woke up that morning and my thumb simply couldn't move. It felt heavy and lifeless - very odd feeling, to say the least.

Do you have full range of motion and function with yours?  I hope you do. I had to lose function before I appreciated how valuable a thumb can be. So thank goodness for metal plates, screws and Vibe!

Now I've got to jump in on this one too:

Arising early, feeling like a get a head start on the day (in bed by 9PM)
First cup of coffee in the morning, black, preferrable Starbuck's Verona blend
Calls or visits from our kids anytime, day or night
Enjoying our kids successes more than our own
That our grandson, Eddie V, likes me best
Awakening at 4:00 in the morning to watch the British Open in bed with Ed     every July, having to skip church
All of Beth Moores' bible studies
Acres of sunflowers I saw in Spain, with each face toward the sun
My Mom's lasagne
My homemade Cowboy Chocolate Chip cookies
Anytime at our cabin in Pinetop and seeing the critters that were there first
Harkin's popcorn
See's Butterscotch suckers (gave them out instead of cigars when kids were born).  Patti Westfal got me hooked
Greg's bowls (we have 3 so far)
Cloudy and rainly days
Getting my roots colored
TiVo
A good laugh, like Tom liking me after the Hooter's girls
Doing most of my 'dating' in the innocent years at THS
Evans sweet corn my sister in Chandler gets for me every year
Getting emails from Tracker Cannon saying he's found another classmate
Having an uninterrupted block of time on this THS website connecting with old and new friends
The joy of reconnecting with all of you & the anticipation I feel about our 40th reunion
Gail, are you still doing the 'after the reunion' support group?

Diane

Phyllis,
NO! I have two daughters, both out of state, no grand kids. I
just still have to nurture! And I shower every day.

Louie,
Skiing and Hooters keeps me young, I promise not to stop!

Jerry,
I knew what that picture was symbolic of, and your welcome to
lunch, we go to Hooters every Friday.

Diane,
I'm sorry, what!, was I thinking putting the ' Girls' ahead of you,
I won't do that again!!! Bring some of the CCC cookies to the reunion.

I have enjoyed reading about everyone's favorite things.  Most seem like like the simple quiet moments when we just stop and say 'wow, life is good'.
So I've  added  a few of my own......
the feeling of security I have when I'm holstered up with a great pair of jeans and smoking boots!
My beautiful grandchildren...19 in all.
New Orleans
Jimmy Buffett...yes, I am a pirate!
I am with Linda...I love Venice and all it's charm.
5 Inch heels and pencil skirt!
never having eat prison food again (knock on wood) (I worked there, not a quest of the state)
TIVO!!!
Riding in the hills of Utah on four wheelers.
My sweet husband, Steven...guess I should move him to top of the list
penny slot machines.....so much fun
Disneyland...the joy on the babies faces!
and most important..watching my 5 daughters and 1 son growing into such good and kind adults, they truly are amazing!

This board is fun and comforting. I moved to Utah after 2 years at ASU.  It is nice to talk with old friends...nothing personal about the old part!  Belle

Jerry,

I have no idea where that picture was taken.  Maybe outside of Vegas where they did the nuclear testing, or was it in AZ?  Just wondered how the photographer's doing?  Was he hanging on with one arm when he took that?  You must have found his body after he fell to retrieve the camera and get the picture.  Maybe it was you with a parachute.  Maybe Louis helped you.  He knows how to do that stuff.  Please explain, and where was it taken?

Peter, nice to hear from you again.

the time of evening just before the sun starts to set,
Sitting on our front porch in Crows Landing, CA, after dinner and watching the sunset over the fields of alfalfa and the California Coast Range far off in the distance,

The quiet, beautiful time just before the sunrises,
sunrises over the fields,

Solitary driving at 3a.m. through the narrow winding roads of Yosemite National Park, at 7000 ft altitude, covered with snow.  It is magical, as if being inside a snow globe and there is no one or no where else in the world, but me and God.  With the car stopped and engine off, the 'silence is deafening.'  Soon, I hear only my own breathing and if I hold my breath, I can almost hear my own heart beat.

Preparing Thanksgiving dinner, from the selection of the foods at the market through enjoying the feast with dear family and friends.

Laughing until the tears flow with my daughter.

The sweet smell of babies, human or animal, puppy breath,
the sweet aroma of orange blossoms.

The smell of walking into a barn full of alfalfa and horses,
the low, gentle nickering of horses when you bring their feed,
the soft warm puff air on my face from the greeting from a horse.

The velvet muzzle of a horse and the velvet ears of a dog,
the rough wet tongue of a calf

The faces of those I love,
talking to my grandchildren,

shineshine glistening on water,
blue skies with white fluffy clouds,
blue skies with pink clouds,
stormy skies, rain, and silent snow.

Wind blowing through the trees.

Music, dancing,
great conversation and silent listening.

this website.

Gail

Diane,

I bet it was tracker Cannon, parachuting in spanx. He was scouting for missing classmates, while happening upon the site.

Peter,
The spanx issue is still under investigation by Larry Cannon.  It kind of goes along with the clip from a garter belt that you found sitting on a bookcase in the familyroom of our Sierra Vista house.  You picked it up and asked my mom, 'What's this?'  She could not answer because she was laughing too hard.  Granted, I wondered why it was on top of the bookcase in the family room, yet I knew what it was.

You're not alone little buddy, Flamin Hot Cheetos are one of my downfalls for sure! I have to be careful to remove the red 'evidence' from my fingers after I sneak a bag.  You got it right, so bad, but so gooooooddd!  ;o)
