When I first moved to Tempe in 1960 Paul Cherry and his family moved right across the street. He was the first person my age that I met and we remained best of friends for a long time. Â We were able to tell each other our deep dark secrets and no one else ever knew. I got married and moved away and lost touch with him but never forgot our friendship. Years later I found him on classmates and we started emailing. He was telling me of a seminar he was working on associated with Missouri State where he was a professor of science. He said he would email me after the seminar to let me know how it went. I never got a reply. I contacted the university and they gave me his wife's (Vicki - also a THS graduate) email address. It was her reply that shocked the hell out of me! Â He had a brain aneurysm that took his life. Â I hope Vicki is doing well.
Miss his friendship so. Â Still communicate with his older sister Kathleen Miles.
