Editing Your Info using 'Update My Info'

If you edit your info on the site, be forewarned that when you click 'Update My Info', the entire form will be blank.  Don't panic, you don't have to do the whole thing over.  Only the boxes you change will get updated; everything else remains as it was.  If you're just going to tweak your bio, copy it first so that when you get the blank form, you can paste it in, then do the tweak.

Just think, in heaven there will be no software . . . at least that's my idea of it.

First Time to the Site and Your Status is 'Unlisted'?

If you're a classmate and this is your first time to the site, you may find your status as 'unlisted' under 'Contact Classmates'.  This is because when we find preliminary information on people, we go ahead and enter it on the site, even though we may have already contacted you.  We would still like for you to enter your own information because we may not have the latest and greatest stuff on you, especially your email.

Thanks, and hope this helps.

Note:  Once you update your info, it will not post until the site moderator approves it.  This usually happens fairly quickly, unless it's a weekend.

Larry,

Thanks for your information on updating our information.  I was wondering why my biography did not update on Friday.  Now I know!

Hey guys, maybe some of you technolgical gurus can help me. I have been trying to send pictures from my week up in Nevada with my grandaughter and I can't upload it because it 'exceeds' the amount of space required.

Who can help me fix it?

Vicki

Vicki,
I know what you mean.  Most of mine are posted by 'Administrator', who just happens to be Pat (Donovan) Gill.  She can do anything on this computer.  Just get her email from 'Contact Classmates' and she'll work magic for you.  I look forward to seeing your pictures with your granddaughter.

Thanks Diane.

I thought I was so smart getting my first digital camera then I didn't know what to do with what I had!!! something about reducing the resolution and reducing the size.

Good thing we are nurses and not something that requires that sort of thinking.

Love ya, Vic

PS. What the heck are we doing on the website at this time of day? If only 'they' knew!!!

Digital camera files are usually huge.  If you have any kind of a program like Paint or Microsoft Photo Editor, bring your picture up in it, then shrink it in physical size a bit.  If it comes up as, say, 8' x 10', reduce the dimensions by 20% or so.  That'll probably make the file size small enough for you to load it yourself.

Thanks Larry!! Now I need software? It can't just do it all by itself? Hmm. Next step. GET SOFTWARE.

Everyone has been so awsome and caring. It is fun to be a part of a tribe.

Vicki, evidently I don't quite know it all because I said 8' x 10'.  That's an awfully large picture!  Your digital camera may have come with a simple photo editor.  If not, I'll bet you can find one for twenty or thirty bucks.

Hey Vicki -- are you a nurse too?  If so, what kind of nursing?

Great picture Vic.  Inspired me to post my own.  Only the one of Ted and me ended up sideways.  Any way to take off and redo?  My computer and I have a love hate relationship.  Mostly hate.

Nancy... I'll delete it... Just take a second.. If you can't get it right side up just e-mail it to me and I'll post it for you..

Vicki... The message you're getting usually means you don't have enough space left on your hard drive to copy them off the camera.. if you'd like I can e-mail you some instructions on how to free up some space...  Pg

Pat,
Thanks for the deletion.  Pretty embarrassing having the only picture posted in the wrong direction.
