On this Memorial Day, I'd like to respectfully thank all who have served in defense of this great country, and to solemly honor those who did not come home. God bless you and yours ,and God bless America.
I would like to echo what Mr, Kerr has said and also add a few thoughts on our friend Pete.
Thank you Peter for being my friend. From the time you arrived in Tempe we were linked together by school, scouts, and church. You were just a nice guy never caused problems easy to get along with. The fun times we had on scout camp outs and the stupid things we did. I always admired watching you run track. the truth was you didn't have much athletic ability but determination and heart were greater than one could measure. Those of us that were there always knew you wold finish the race for you never would give up.
Thank you Peter for giving the supreme sacrifice. For those like you that did the same and those who served and returned. To all those that have served our country to keep it free. I am thankful to be an American. To live in this great land that God prepared for us and has keep it free. That we are on Nation under God. We are a government of the people by the people and not a government ruling the people. We shouldn't have to apologize to anyone in this world for who we are. We are a people who has given back time and time again. We help out others more at times than we help ourselves. We rush in when ever there is a need. No ones has ever had to come in and help us we are always here to help each other. We are the children of the greatest generation. We only need to look back at the sacrifices they made and how they made do. they taught us who we should be and how we should do it. Thank you to all that have fought for our freedom from our great grandfathers to our sons and daughters that are serving today. May God bless America may he bless us all. We are the home of the free and the brave let us all work to keep it that way. Peter, sir you are our man. Thank You.
Well said, Jerry and Mike. I saw there is a memorial service on T.V. today at the Vietnam Memorial in D.C. at 1:00 P.M. Not sure who's covering it, probably FOX. Thanks to all who have served and especially those who gave all on our behalf over the generations.
I agree with Diane, Jerry and Mike--extremely well said.
Thank you all for your service. I thank all that have worked or who are still working in law enforcement and firefighting, too.
