It was a great time the past two nights but there wasn't time to visit, see and talk with everyone. The conversations were way to short with many. There were even some that may have been avoided. All in all I would like to thank everyone I had the opportunity to talk with. I hope some of you found I wasn't the smart ass you may have remembered way back when. There were memories of high school, grade school and with some of you even before we started school that just rushed thru me and came back to light like they were just yesterday. Time surely stood still for a short while as it flashed back 40 years and more. Talk about fast forward wow! Thanks to all those on the committee that took the time and effort to put this reunion together a big thank you. Hope to see you all at the next one. Buffs are forever!!!!!  and always welcome in Tulsa...call me we will do lunch..lol

Mike,
It was a great time, I had a blast both days. If I'm ever in Tulsa,
I buy lunch, but only if Tulsa has a Hooters!!!!!!!!!   Tommy

Sorry I missed you also. I enjoyed reading your posts on the website over the last months. Two nights is just not time enough to talk to everyone. I probably talked more the last two night than I have in the last two months. It's just to hard to catch up 40 yrs in a couple of nights. It's very nice to know you are doing well and I do hope the very best for you in the future. I'll make sure I don't miss you next time!!!

I agree with all the sentiments.  Just not enough time to do all the visiting.  It was wonderful to rekindle old friendships, like Gail Vesper, Greg Campbell, and Kelly Moeur from first grade at Broadmor right through to friends at THS.  I especially enjoyed visiting with some classmates I didn't even know 40yrs. ago.  It was just so good to be together and I sensed that from everybody.
Mike, I know you and Ed got a chance to talk, so I'll get the update on you from him.
Glad I got some 'face time' with you Tom & Carol.  It was so much fun visiting with everyone both Friday and Saturday nights.
So glad Pat has offered to continue managing the website for another year.  Isn't she amazing?  It will be fun to watch as the pictures upload from our time together.  'Journies mercies' as all '69 Buffs return home.

Until we meet again,

Diane

I agree that the past weekend has been meaningful. Connecting with our graduating class truly defines 'peers'. Not a movie or a picture from 'back in the day,' but real people who started out when I did and have lived every day since those years just like I have.

I'm grateful for all of you, and for the acceptance, conversations (however short and sweet they were) and chance to break bread together. I am blessed to be included...

I am now on a mission to find Charlie Bolts and return his high school diploma to him. I have no idea how it ended up in my possession, but don't you think the poor guy deserves to get his diploma after 40 years?

All right, all you tattooed ones.  I thought we had the script down!  Maybe it was my poor directing.  Whatever.  Thanks for playing along.  It was fun holding your hairy arms and drawing on you -- especially Vicki and Phyllis.  Hairy, I mean.  Better stop now before I get myself in too deep.

I laughed my head off at the video.  Whoever wrote the lines -- Mark? -- nailed the Laugh In style.  The opening scene with Mark and Paulette talking and Mark only having one button buttoned was great.  Mark, remember to post the link.

Mike, no smart ass you -- everyone always cut you a lot of slack, and by and large you have stayed within it.  And look, it paid off (what the hell does that mean?).

Hi Everyone,
I'll try this again since I was disconnected from my internet service just as I finished the last note.  :(
I think I'm going through post reunion withdrawal.  I hadn't realized how much I missed seeing everyone until the reunion got closer.  I'm sorry this is the first one I had attended since we graduated.
All the hard work of the reunion committee really paid off with a wonderful night.
I'm sorry I missed seeing some of you and apologize for the half-finished conversations with others.  There just wasn't enough time.
I so appreciate that after about 48 years of complete misery Tommy W., you have apparently granted me absolution for keeping your necklace.  It was so sweet of you, Jack to apologize for breaking two of my pencils and harassing me all through grade school.  Actually, as Tommy pointed out, I probably kept his necklace in retaliation after Jack broke my pencils and now he should be mad at him instead of me!  I'll accept that.  lol!  You two are great friends and I have fond memories of you from grade school.
I enjoyed seeing others from grade school and the old neighborhood -- Mary, Jean, Carol B., Carolyn S., Mike B., Steve F., Marcia, Gary, Larry, Leah, Louie, Brenda, and Cecelia, among others.  I feel like it's the Oscars.  Anyway, God Bless you all!
I was especially delighted to talk you, Mrs. D.  Thank you for spending some time with us. (noticed you didn't even edit the video -- ha! ha!).  Thank you for your help back then.
Carol

Carol, you said 'Brenda'.  Brenda Koen or Brenda Force?  Brenda Force was supposed to be there, but I didn't see her.  Did she make it?

As long as people are apologizing, I want to apologize to Carol Hurlebaus for harassing her for being Catholic when we were in the 5th or 6th grade at Holdeman.  I was an ignorant little Baptist snot.

And if my memory's correct, Carol Hurlebaus defended me against Mrs. Kick in the 6th grade.  We had a spelling bee and I spelled a word correctly, but Mrs. Kick said I was wrong, and gave it to the kid across the room.  Afterwards, we were up around her desk and Carol told her I'd spelled it right.  She wouldn't have it, though.  And that's why I sometimes sneak in and use the administrator priveleges on the website to correct my spelling!  Still anal after all these years (isn't that a song?).

Well, Larry, I actually meant both, because luckily, I was able to talk to both!

I also meant to say I missed some of our gradeschool people like Judy B and Tommy S.  I know there are many others.

Carol

An unexpected pleasure - Bob Johnson catching me up on so many of those Mt. Carmel classmmates from long ago.  Thanks, Bob.  My knuckles still smart from the discipline - someone hide that hardwood switch the nuns used to use....

I really enoyed saying hello to so many friends from so long ago. It seemed like time rolled back for two nights and kids were just glad to say hi and see how we were doing.   There was not enough time to speak to everyone.  I found myself literally runnung out of time.   My feeling was that we were kids growing up together now getting back together.

What I thought was coolest was seeing that when people smiled, they really looked like their old selves.  My memory of the olden days isn't the greatest, but I do remember things like Tommy Whatley's impish grin.
