Hi, if anyone found themselves arriving home last night with the '64 and '65 Gilliland Roadrunners in their hand, please let me know. Â Those 'party favors' are mine and I'd like to get them back!
Other than my Roadrunners going AWOL, I had a really great time last night. Â The hard part was that there were just so darned many of us to talk to. Â Thanks to you all for coming. Â Thanks Mike Arnow for showing up, even if you were late. Â What a nice guy you are! Â I agree that it would be great to be able to rewind the tape and do some stuff over -- with the perspective we have now. Â Thanks Genie Davis for indulging my rambling talk about art. Â Took me 40 years to get the nerve to talk to you, and turns out it was easy. Â Thanks Louie Langhi for coming down from Flag for this thing. Â Maybe someday we'll have the opportunity to sit and talk in a quieter setting. Â Actually, that can be said about a fair number of you. Â There was simply not enough time last night. Â And thanks Jeanette Demicell (sorry, I'm forgetting your last name) for being there last night, and for allowing me to tell you my little secret! Â I hope you had a good time, eh?
If any of you are ever up in the Seattle area, give me a buzz, and we can 'do lunch' or take a ferry ride.
Did you call Rustlers Rooste to see if the Annuals could be in a Rustlers Rooste lost n found?
As I drove home I was so awake I never even yawned once. I am so glad I came to see you guys. The first person I came accross was Cannon in the Parking Lot. Many many smiles last Night. Can not wait for the next one. If I missed anyone and they got their feelings hurt. I did not do it on purpose.
Larry,
I really enjoyed finally meeting you and visiting about all the interesting stuff we shared. As they say--better late than never. I also got a kick out of your MC comments last night--you're quite a funny guy. Thanks for all your hard 'tracker' work hunting those missing buffaloes!!! So glad you came all the way down from Seattle--and who would have thought that you live only 5 minutes away from my younger brother, Greg.
It shouldn't surprise you that 'Such a Mom' has your Gilliland Annuals! Isn't that what Moms do? Pick up after their kids? I'm surprised you didn't check with me first. You can have them back...for a price...someday, maybe.
Diane, is this retribution, or is it just Gilliland envy? Gilliland really was a better school -- in every way. And we were all humble, too, not like you 'city kids'.
I hope I didn't betray your confidences too much in my lead in. While we were on the phone Saturday afternoon I was thinking, 'This is GREAT!'
Larry,
This is unbelievable, I never thought Diane was a thief and a blackmailer!
I was thinking about moving her above the Hooters girls on my favorites
list, but now I don't know.
Tommy
