Can other classes attend the reunion?

Am wondering if other classes (i.e. my class 1971) can attend your reunion?  You guys have such a great group of characters, maybe the all-time best in T.H.S. history.  I know lots of us in that era would like to see everyone.

Scott,

I'm only 1 of the 'great characters' from the THS class of 69, but I know the Friday afternoon/night Daley Park get-together is for all THS grads. I think that the Saturday night event is for our class, but who knows, maybe they'll let you hang around outside and you can peek in from time to time!! Somebody may hand you a beer! Or a joint! Who knows?

Hi Scott,

Yes, Phyllis is correct...partly.  The Friday night event on October 23rd from 4 to 10 P.M., at Daley Park is for ANY and EVERYONE who ever walked the halls of THS!  Actually we've also extended the invitation to those from McClintock who 'separated' from us Soph. year.  Please spread the word!  Bill Richarson is 'incharge', which should tell you all you need to know about how much fun it's going to be.  We're just asking people to bring a 'munchie' to share, and no glass bottles.  My brother and sisters are coming too.

Our Saturday night event on October 24th, however, is limited to the class of '69 and spouses or dates only.  We are now at the max for the space we have at Rustler's Rooste.  As Ed would say, 'pleasant problem'.

I'll be looking for you on Friday, Scott.  Thanks for your interest in our event.

Diane,
Thanks for the vote of confidence.  However, I have never been in-charge of anything nor do I ever want to be.

Maybe we can get pilot and all around good guy Jerry Kerr to buzz Daley Park in a government airplane?  Now that would make it a memorable party!

Hi Scott and everyone else,
I agree that Tempe High's '69 class really ROCKS!  I've tried to let the McClintock class of '69 know about the Daly Park get-together, but I'm not getting much response.  My sister graduated from McClintock in 1971, so maybe I'll see if she and some of her former classmates would also like to attend.  This should be a very interesting event!
Take care,

Sandy

Bill,
You made my point beautifully.  Call it what you want, Billy.  Pilot Jerry to buzz the park?  Your 'in charge' comes so naturally, you don't even realize you are.

Sandy,

If only you and Cheryl Bridges Lang show up, it will be worth our efforts!  Looking forward to seeing you again.

OK, I'll spread the word.  I have quite a few THS folks on my email list and I'll post the Friday night event on my Facebook page.

When we ('71) did our 30-year reunion we had a similar event at Daley Park too.  It's a great spot - lots of memories there.  You can reserve the ramadas and get an alcohol permit through the City of Tempe.

See you there.

Bill
A high speed pass would be a done deal if the party was a kegger in the desert or at the 'barn', but way too many witness at Daly Park. ......would be a kick in the butt tho!     ;o)

Wuz wondering:  Is that why the city of Tempe is stipulating 'no glass bottles'?

That's why they have those teeny-tiny 'N' numbers so people on the ground can't read them when pilots buzz the park or smuggle dope.

Bill

They arent that tiny anymore, FAA realized teeny-tiny numbers was a dumb idea,  pilots would buzz parties and haul dope with teeny-tiny N numbers.  ;o)

A D-18 in the desert in the dark of night could've had 'N' number 3 foot high and no one could've read it.  A ot of it had to do with the pilot's style.

Bill, the pictures are a hoot!  What's that little birdy whispering in your ear?  You don't have to sit out there saving our seats until the reunion, do you?

Drinking in the park with the pigeons and winos is medication for my PTSD.

The little birdy is telling me to run if the cops show up.
