I am having a slumber party at my house.
Date: Saturday, August 15, 2009
Time: Come up any time on Saturday and spend the night. I will have Saturday lunch and dinner, then breakfast on Sunday morning.
Location : 1305 N. Camelot Dr, Payson, AZ 85541
Bring: Whatever you want to drink, a pillow, and snacks
Many of you are offering to bring food. There are two options:
1. I do all the meal planning and shopping. I can save the receipts and we can divide the cost among all of us.
or
2. I do all the meal planing and see who wants to bring what.
Option one would be the eaiest for me.
My house has 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, and can sleep 12 in beds, more if we sleep on air mattresses. The more the merrier.
Vicki… I would be there in a second if I didn’t already have a prior commitment.. If you have one next year I will be there in a New York second…. Please take lots of pictures to ‘post’ on the site..… Can’t wait to see everyone.. Pg
By the way this slumber party is for any girl (woman) in our graduating class.
(Boys will have to have their own slumber party, JERRY)
Gail actually posted the invite for me and I thank her for that.
Please feel free to contact me on my cell phone 928-978-1099 so I can get a head count.
I think it would be easiest if I get it all together and we can divvy it up. I have Fridays off so I will have all day to shop and set up.
Gail was right bring your sleeping bags, in case we have too many for beds. Whatever you like to drink. I have tea, coffee, juice, water, etc. This will include alcohol as well as Denise Petty will be there. You know how she gets at slumber parties!!! also bring a pillow! (Wasn[t there a song called Pillow Talk?)
The weather will be warm in the day and cool at night so sweat shirts are a must. Shorts are optional.
I am so looking forward to this. So let's have some grown up fun and pretend we are Suhweet 16 again!
We're honored, but really guys, it's not 1969 anymore! I shall think of your words when we're sitting around in our pjs and somebody gets out the ben-gay.

That ben-gay is amazing stuff! You'll have a metamucil toast for me. oh, have a Happy Birthday.
OK Vicki, I'm in. In case you didn't know already. We just had our reunion committee meeting. I think the meetings may be more fun than the actual reunion. I posted the minutes and amazingly all these question marks appeared in the notes. It must be magic. I think Grady sabotaged my notes!!! Anyway he did provide the bubbly. Can't wait for the slumber party. Good times :) Paulette
I knew only a couple of birthdays among our classmates - Sam Ekiss's is March 11, Ron Erickson's is April 17, Ruth Robinson's is Sept. 17th and Jill Boyd's is December 1st. It would be fun to learn everybody else's special day.
Thanks, Vicki & Guests!!! The phone call was great and much appreciated. Sorry I couldn't answer, but the Botox doc said that I needed to hold very still during the injections (was actually on the way to church with my daughter). It's weird, me, being called by a bunch of nice looking women. Ahhhhh. High school dreams fulfilled.
Anticipating photos! (And all the guys reading this are thinking, 'What . . . ?')
No...that wasn't a 'drunk dial', OK. It's because it's your Birthday today! Hope you're having a great one and getting lots of presents. Happy Birthday Larry!
I just wanted to say 'thank you' for a great time at your house this weekend. It was as if we were back in HS just being 'girls'. Your home is lovely, and your 60's music was the perfect touch. The view of the Rim on your back deck is breath-taking. Thanks for the good food and all the house prep that we women know goes on when your hosting a weekend gathering. Our time together at your house will make our time at the reunion even sweeter, because you gave us the chance to 'reconnect'. Thanks again, Vicki.
Yes, Vicki, I agree with Diane. It was just perfect. I'm just sorry I couldn't stay longer. I really enjoyed connecting with everyone (Gail, Carol H., Genie, Paulette, Phyllis, Diane, Cindy, Denise, Vicki and Linda) again since I hadn't seen one of them since the night we graduated. I felt like I was in a time warp. ha! Everyone is just the same as I remember -- great energy -- good people! It was an excellent idea because I felt that we could reconnect in a way that's hard to do in a crowd.
You put just as much energy into making us feel welcome, well-fed, and comfortable as you did in your cheerleading! It will be something I will remember in years to come. I hope I don't have to wait as long to see everyone again. I'm looking forward to the reunion.
Carol
To Vicki, Thank you so much for the great get-together. It was so much fun to see everyone and we all appreciate how much work you put into this weekend. Sitting around on your fabulous deck talking and remembering through all the stories was a super flask back to our high school days. Everyone 'grew up' into wonderful women and the personalities were all there to remember. It was a fantastic time and I hope we all keep in touch. Again, thank you Vicki, and I'm glad everyone else was there. Talk to you all again soon.
Gentlemen, maybe next time, as you all missed our remembering you.
