Finding classmates

It's so fun reading all the entries, and seeing the increased activity on this site (thanks Pat).  I know Larry's been working very hard to find remaining classmates on the internet.  I just wanted to spur the rest of us to check our own private contact information on any classmates we've kept in touch with over the years, and enter it in the system.  It isn't made public until the person themselves chooses to make it so.  It just gives the committee a way to send an invitation.
FYI Louis Langhi.  If you don't come to this reunion because you are waiting for the 50th, just think, we'll be almost 70yrs. old!  I hope you'll clear your calendar for Oct. 24th, 2009 and make the trip from Flagstaff.

Hi Diane,
You are right, it is fun to watch and see who has found the site. Thanks to all who put this together, we all appreciate your hard work. I'm on a quick break, not much time to post, so I'll check in later.  I wanted to say Hi to Diane - Hi!

Is there a date for this reunion?  It has been great reading all the e-mails.  I wil call Denise Petty and Peter Shelton tonight. I think this reunion should be a  real kick.

What worries me even more Diane is how many people are deceased. I never thought of any of us dieing. So right now I am 80% going to the Reunion {-:  But it is a reality in life. I just hope this deceased thing will stop for the next 10 years. Now I'm 90% going to the Reunion. OK Boss! I am going to put a picture in to. I promised Larry Boy. It might be a couple weeks yet.

Hi Diane...Hope all is well with you and your family. I have to admit reading each and every post is a long and favorable walk down memory lane. Don and I exchanged an Email or two after the Tempe's 100 Year bash.  Hope you see you and everyone real soon!
Cheers,
Mark

On Finding Classmates, a short essay

Kinda like the 'essay' line.  It's for Mr. Dee, the whackiest teacher I've ever had.  Wonder if he ever found the tent with the furs, champagne, and the exotic woman in Shangri La.  If he did, wonder if he took his bicycle horn with him?

Finding people is exciting.  Gary and Diane can attest to it.  Gives you this 'zing!'.  Yes!  Being found is also exciting and the response I get from many is heartening, like, 'Wow, I am so glad someone contacted me!'  Very rewarding.

But in the midst of all the tears, tissues, general euphoria, and 'Who did you say you were?', some of the Contacted Ones forget to forage through the remaining grey matter that still works, remember the names of the people they're still in contact with, give them a call ,and tell 'em about the website.  I even forget to mention this to them . . . sometimes.

So, please, if you know people who are still listed as 'missing', contact them.  If you don't know where they are, but have some scraps of info like a married name, please let me or Gary Patton know.  You can email or call us.

Re:  Mike Devirgilio's comment on Facebook.  There are 35 of us now on FB.  That's almost a tenth of the class.  Yeah, it crashes sometimes when you're in the midst of sending a message, but it's a pretty cool site.  Check it out.  If you join (it's free), be sure and put Tempe High, 1969 as your high school.

One more thing.  If any of you have paid subscriptions to any of the people search engines on the net, the ones that find things like unlisted phone numbers, I'd like to know.  There are some people who show up on sites like www.pipl.com, but then you have to pay to find out their phone numbers.

Tchau!

Louis, is the couple of weeks time enough for the plastic surgery to heal?  Or is the time needed so you can go out and buy your first digital camera?

Big Larrrrrrrreeeeeeee
The Digital Camera is not the problem. Ellens Daughter at NAU has to put it on the website. I'm usually successful at putting a picture on a website after about 4 hours of trying. She can do it in minutes.
Your bud louis-besides whats the rush.

I've decided to come to the Reunion

So I don't have to drive to Flag and drag you back with me?  Good!  This is definitely progress.  But will I recognize you after the plastic surgery?

How am I doing?  I just realized these responses were here!  So nice hearing from everyone.  I'm learning new things about this site everyday.  If you want to see the minutes from our meetings, go to the top of the Home page and clilck on 'News'.  You'll see the dates of the reunion (Oct. 24th) as well as our menu selections and other good stuff.  Thanks to Denise, we now will be offering a Vegatarian selection as well.  How about Paulette as secretary?  Great job, Paulette.
Louis - So glad you made the decision to come.  I confess, I borrowed the 50th Reunion line from the class of '68.  Glad it worked.

Hey, Everyone,

Please take a minute to click on 'Contact Classmates' and look down through the list at the ones still marked 'missing'.  If you have any ideas on where these classmates might be found, what their married names are, or who and where their siblings are, please let me know (you can click on my name on this posting to get my email address).  It'd sure be great if we could find them.

Also, if you have phone numbers for people who are 'unlisted' but who haven't been active on the site, please call them and encourage (bug) them to log on.  There are quite a few who we've made contact with who have never followed through and logged on themselves.

Thanks!
