I also recall the 'Whiz Bang' on south McClintock. It was a dumpy little rural bar out amongst the cottonfields back then. It burned to the ground sometime in the 70's. Another early place that served under age was the 'Office Bar' on Scottsdale Rd. next to Waylon Jennings. I believe my first pitcher at the Office was when I was 19.
Another place was the Dupa Villa Liquor store on 7th St. in Phoenix. When Bill Flanders (Buggies- class of 67) ran the place booze was easy to come by out the back door.
