Greetings - Darlene and I had to unexpectedly go to California to babysit a grandson, so we have to miss the reunion. So: hello, nice to see you, glad you're still around, I don't remember exactly what happened with many of you from those days - but what's always weird is that throughout life, my perceptions of y'all shape my perceptions of people I interact with. The hot cheer/pom girls (not that friendly, but not at all mean), jocks (drifted away from those relationships to become musician/idiot - then more....), acquaintances (unfounded - some true/some not - projections of what kinds of people they were), and much more. But, my take on other people always seem to be shaped by those perceptions. For those who care - D & I still together, live in Tempe. 34 years in the fire dept. (25 with Tempe FD, the last eight with Gilbert FD) soon to retire to part/full time in a house outside Payson. Darlene retired but somehow always busy. Two grown kids (son Seth a firefighter in Tempe, daughter Desiree teaches college art/photo in CA), three grandkids Love to read your comments, remember some, not a part of others - but overall, good memories, all life/personality shapers. Good vibes (ah, the 60's) to all who read this - if you read it before tonight, please pass along.
We missed you guys last night, Mike but understand. I too am flying out in the AM to help with a sick grandchild in CA!
Thanks for the update. Sounds like all is well with you guys. There are several that had to cancel last minute because of sickness, ill parents, etc.
Glad we have Pat to keep this site to keep this site up & running so we can stay connected.
We had a great time last night at Daley Park, with about #60 in attendance.
Will post pictures soon.
Hope to see you guys at the 50th!
Diane
