I like this topic.  My mom taught me to cook old style, but I sort of dropped out of the kitchen when my kids got to the stage of saying 'ewwww' to everything I made.  Finally I went back in after getting hooked on the Food Network.  Now I throw a lot of dinner parties just to share the fun.  I don't know if I have a favorite recipe; I try new things all the time, but if anyone wants suggestions for something in particular, I can share something that has worked for me.

P.S.  Since we're only about 45 minutes from Napa Valley, we've got some great wines, too, so give me a call and drop by if you're in the area.  Be glad to wine you and dine you, just so long as you weren't one of the ones who tattled on me in the fifth grade.
