Body:	<i>Marguerite Baird grew up down the street from me, caddy corner across the street from Marcene Follett, across the street from Mark Kypers, next door to Dottie Jordan, on West 17th Place. Marcene Follett and I were probably her most frequent playmates growing up. Her mother was our Brownie Leader when we were in 2nd-3rd grade.(Who else was in that troop? Maybe, Brenda Force?) I remember bridging (right term?) to Girl Scout in Marguerite's backyard. Marguerite was always quiet and happy to have friends come to play with her. She would come to play at our houses, and I can still hear her mother's voice calling her home. It was very distinctive!! (Rising in pitch and volume - Marguereeeeeeeeeeeet! It would make sense that she would have watched ball practice at Clark Park, as it was just at the end of the street. It is my recollection that her parents, her brother Clifford (class of '64 or'65 I think), and her parents all passed away within a few years of each other.</i> *
