Body:	<i>Paulette, I don't doubt that for a minute, except the part about Ed telling him. Reggie Jackson was actually a member of Ed's Dad's church on Southern when we got married in '73. He was with the Oakland A's. We lived in his condo on McClintock & Southern during the season when he was in Oakland. Ed's Dad set it up because we had no money. He'd come home periodically and we'd have to vacate for a couple of days. Got all kinds of balls signed for friends, but nothing for ourselves (duh). His liscense plate said 73MVP. I was home alone one afternoon and the doorbell rang. I opened the door to two men in suits, and simultaneously 2 others rushed in the back door. They asked me who I was and said they were with the FBI. Reggie had gotten a death threats if he played in the game. He played anyway and we even got to see his championship ring. Exciting stuff.</i> *
