I first met Gail when I moved to Tempe in the 4th grade. I still remember how grateful I was that she chose to be my friend. We were inseparable for a time, two tomboys in search of adventure in our suburban Tempe neighborhood. We thought we ruled Daley Park. She is such an important part of my childhood memories, and I'm very saddened by her passing. (Gail on bottom right bench, me standing top left.)
